Natalie Portman Kanye-Wested for divestment by the Yes Men and Gitz Crazyboy

Natalie Portman got Kanye-Wested for divestment by climate activists Mike Bonanno and Gitz Crazyboy at the Cinema for Peace gala.

Mike and Gitz drew a strong show of hands pledging to divest from fossil fuels from the moneyed glitterati in the audience, before security dragged them offstage.

A moment onstage with Natalie Portman, and already the Yes Men are in trouble.

The Yes Men have been helping psychopathic corporations and governments to be less horrific for over a decade — with some major successes.

They create opportunities to convince a global audience of something that might save the world.

Fortunately for us, the Yes Men are giving away their secret methods in a series of workshops for students and activists.

They’ll be on tour in fall 2015 and spring 2016.

Here’s why to bring them to your campus:

As change agents, your students want to use their creativity to collaborate on a grand scale.

In a workshop with the Yes Men, they’ll learn how to launch a well-focused, creative, and very funny, activist project around an area of interest.

Importantly, you’ll get Mike and Andy’s process. You’ll learn the surprising things that worked, the many that didn’t. (Our polar bear, denied entry, had to sit out the Westing4Divesting action with Pussy Riot.)
